This is the most important thing you need to know “Right Now”

Are you unhappy with the way “2020” is going?

Are you sick of listening to the corona updates everywhere?

Are you bored of the negative news coming from all directions?

Are you frustrated sitting back at home in this lock-down?

Do you feel like you need a vacation badly or feel like running away somewhere far for some days?

Then it’s the most important thing you need to know right now.

Do you know what I am talking about?

It’s Mental well being.

It is such an important yet excluded aspect of everybody’s lives which affects all of us equally irrespective of the fact who you are or where you are.

But the biggest issue is that people are not very willing to talk about it. One of the reasons why I have to write the subject as mental well being not mental fitness or mental health is because before writing this article when I discussed it with one of my friends, he said to change the title from the importance of mental health to something else because it sounds too negative.

Honestly speaking, I was not shocked at all because this is how it is seen by people in general and is often treated as taboo.

To me, it doesn’t sound negative at all, in fact, the way in which I was introduced and exposed to this subject it always excited me to explore this dimension of our life which contains all the secrets of leading a higher life.

The reason why I have kept the title of this article “The most important thing we need to know right now” is because most of the people are not even aware of this aspect of life and how deeply it affects all of us, whether you are a male or female, celebrity or a common man, rich or poor, working or non-working or whichever part of the world you are living.

If you are not aware of the importance of your mental fitness for your overall well being, chances are that you are already affected by the collective psychological effects caused by the events that have happened, or which are still occurring in the world right now.

There are three important reasons why we need to address the topic of mental well being right now.

1. Because it’s 2020

This is once in a lifetime event that no one would have ever thought of even in their worst nightmares. The way this year of 2020 has been going so far, it has been the most traumatic year in everybody’s life. 

Right from the time when the planet was taken over by this pandemic, event after an event is just adding up to the collective negativity which we all are suffering.

People who survived the most catastrophic phase of their lives will tell the stories to their grandchildren generations after generations.

Especially the long lockdown has left such a deep impact in the psyche of everybody alive irrespective of the age, gender, socio-economic status or any other category, that almost everybody has faced some level of depression or anxiety like never before.

2. Nobody talks about it

There are many reasons why nobody talks about the topic of mental fitness out of which the main reason is lack of public awareness and education.

There are many misconceptions, misunderstandings, and dogma related which itself can be a separate article that stops people from discussing mental fitness openly.

In a lockdown, we all must have had those long calls and video calls which went up to hours of discussion on a plethora of topics ranging from COVID 19, politics, coronavirus, equal rights of black people, government scams, UNO, corruption, old memories, pollution, population and everything except mental fitness.

In case you think this is not true you can cross-check it yourself on your next individual or group call with your friends, family, relatives, or colleagues.

3.It’s Now or Never

According to me, this is the best time for all of us to come together and spread awareness and help each other fight depression instead of getting affected by negativity spreading in the world and silently suffering from it.

I don’t even need to tell you about the psychological aftereffects of 2020 because you might have gotten frustrated with the way it is going and I am sure you are looking for an escape and as soon as this gets over everybody will be madly fulfilling their food cravings, watching movies in the theatre, going for vacations, shopping and everything that they couldn’t do in the lockdown just like how everybody was busy in their respective lives before the pandemic happened.

So, if we don’t address it now then the effects of this whole phase will be packed into a bag and left into our memories which will never be handled ever again.

My purpose 

My purpose in writing this article is to create awareness and reach as many people as possible so that it no longer remains a taboo and we can bring more people together so that nobody suffers from any type of stress, anxiety, or depression all alone.

Right from the beginning of pandemic and lockdown, I was witnessing how people were petrified with how things were surfacing and how it was affecting people’s psychological health.

I would see a lot of people sharing stressful posts and their responses on their social media handles and it was just a reaction to the events but nobody was talking about the solution and I am quite sure a lot of people are unaware of the situations they were going through and how it was affecting their psyche.

If I was not aware and educated about this aspect of my life I would have never written 30+ articles ( at www.theinfiniteinspiration.com) in the lockdown period, finished writing my first book and planned two more books to write, then I would also have suffered like everybody else and would not be able to reap the benefits of this once in a lifetime opportunity we all got.

This is just a small step towards leading a positive and purpose-driven life and I wish you all also join together in this journey and make your life wonderful as well of the people who we are connected with.
